Gurla Mandhata Expedition

GurlaMandhata (7000 m) is situated in the Burang country of Tibet. The sacred Mount Kailashand the holy lake Mansarovar are located here. It was first climbed in 1985 by a Sino-Japanese expedition. GuralaMandhata is relatively safe for climbing. Walking through the glacier, ridges, and plateau of Tibet canbe an incredible experience for anyone.

ITINERARY FOR GURLA MANDHATA EXPEDITION:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 02-03: Tibet Visa/expedition preparation & briefing
Day 04: Drive to Nyalam (3750m, 150km) via Kodari border
Day 05: Rest day in Nyalam for Acclimatization
Day 06: Drive Nyalam to Saga (4450m). 255km, 7-8 hours
Day 07: Drive Saga to Paryang (4700 m), 236km, 6hrs
Day 08: Drive Paryang to Lake Manasarovar (4558m), 232km, 4-5hrs
Day 09: Drive Lake Manasarovar to Darchen (4600m) (60km, 1.5hrs)
Day 10: Trek from Darchen to Dira-puk Monastery, (20km, 6hrs)
Day 11: Trek from Dira-puk Monastery to Zutulphuk (15 km, 6 – 7hrs)
Day 12: Trek back to Darchen, 14 km, 4- 5 hrs& drive to Mansarovar, camp
Day 13: Drive to GurlaMandata Base Camp
Day 14: Climbing preparation
Day 15-29: Climbing period of GurlaMandata
Day 30: Drive to Prayang via Mayumla Pass
Day 31: Drive to Saga
Day 32: Drive to Zhangmu (160km)
Day 33: Drive to Kathmandu via Kodhari Road
Day 34: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 35: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination.
