Kanchenjunga Expedition

Before Mt.Everest was discovered, Kanchenjunga was considered to be the highest mountain. Later it became apparent that it was actually only the third highest mountain, after Everest and K2 (Karakoram, Pakistan).Kanchenjungameans “Five treasures of the Great Snow”.It rises with an elevation of 8,586 m (28,169 ft) in a section of the Himalayas called KangchenjungaHimal, which is bounded in the west by the Tamur River and in the east by the Teesta River.Itwas first climbed on 25 May 1955 by Joe Brown and George Band, who were part of a British expedition.Located at the border of Eastern Nepal and Sikkim and protected by the Kanchenjunga National Park, this region also features rare animals such as the Red Panda.

Day 01-Arrival in Katmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02- 04:Climbing Preparation days in Kathmandu.
Day 05:Drive to Phidim (3158m).
Day 06:Stay in Phidim for arrangement of porters.
Day 07:Trek to Panchami.
Day 08:Trek to Doban.
Day 09:Trek to Khewang.
Day 10:Trek to Yamphudin.
Day 11:Trek to AmjeKhola.
Day 12:Trek to Toronto.
Day 13:Trek to Tseram.
Day 14:Trek to Ramje.
Day 15:Trek to Glacier Camp.
Day 16:Trek to Kanchenjunga B.C.
Day 17 – 19: Free times at B.C. for acclimatization.
Day 20 – 50: Climbing Period
Day 51:Return treks to Ramje.
Day 52:Trek to AmjeKhola.
Day 53:Trek to Yamphudin.
Day 54:Trek to Khewang.
Day 55:Trek to Panchami.
Day 56:Trek to Ghopetar.
Day 57:Drive from Gopetar to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
Day 58:Rest day in Kathmandu.
Day 59:Final Departure
