This is a brief and yet a fruitful and exciting trek in and around Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, which is well-known for its many historical and religious monuments. It is ideal for trekkers who want to get a glimpse of the mountains without having to expose themselves to high altitudes.
We begin from Sundarijal, the south entry point in the Shivapuri National Park and a watershed area (supplying more than a million liters of natural spring water to the city),and then climb hundreds of stone steps through villages and jungles to reach the north point of the park, Chisapani. The next day we hike to Nagarkot, which will take you through more dense forest, quaint villages, and breathtaking sceneries.Along the way, this trek gives visitors ample opportunities to observe and intermingle with the local people of this region. We offer you two options for this trek, but, whether you choose the shorter itinerary(3 days) or the bit longer one (7 days), they both cover more or less the same regions.
