This small, oracle-shaped sacred lake is as exciting for its scenic beauty as it is for its cultural richness. It is located at Yarlung valley in the Central Tibet. It is best for those who wish to experience Tibetan culture in a short span of time. This lake is also known as ‘The Life Spirit lake of Goddess’, the Goddess being PaldenLhamo. It is said that this female spirit promised the first Dalai Lama, in one of his visions, to ‘protect the reincarnation lineage of the Dalai Lamas’.
