Shishapangma Expedition

Shishapangma, also called ‘Gosaithan’ (which means ‘Place of the saints’), is the fourteenth highest mountain in the world. Standing 8013 m tall, itis situated within the territory of South and Central Tibet. It is not a very risky route and it has vehicle access up tothe base camp. Shishapangma is also accessible through the Everest’s North face path. The first ascent of this mountain was in 1964, by a Chinese expedition group led by Hsu Jing.

Itinerary for Shishapangma:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 02-03: Tibet Visa/expedition preparation & briefing
Day 04: Drive to Nyalam (3750m, 150km) via Kodari border
Day 05: Rest day in Nyalam for Acclimatization
Day 06: Drive to Chinese Base Camp (5000m) (234 km)
Day 07: Acclimatization in Chinese Base Camp
Day 08: Trek to Middle Camp (5220m)
Day 09: Trek to Shishapangma ABC (5400m)
Day 10–39: Climbing period for Shishapangama (8013m)
Day 40: Return to Base Camp, Clean up Base Camp & Drive to Tingri (4300 m)
Day 41: Drive to Zhangmu (1600m)
Day 42: Drive to Kathmandu via Kodari Border (141km)
Day 43: Rest day in Kathmandu
Day 44: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination
