Tillicho Peak lies in the north of Manang of the Annapurna region. There are two way to reach the base camp: Begin with a drive to Khudi, and then go to Tilicho base camp via Manang and Khansar village or, we could fly to Pokhara, then start our hike from Beni Bazaar to Jomsom. Technically this mountain is difficult to climb. It was discovered in 1950 when a team led by Maurice Harzog was attempting to find Annapurna. Tilicho Peak’s northeast ridge towers the high Kali Gandaki valley to the west and the Marshyangdi valley to the east, while Mustang lies just a few miles to the north. The first ascent was made in 1978 by a French climber named Emanuel Schmutz using the northwest shoulder.
