Brief Description:
The Trisuli River is one of the best and most popular rafting river in Nepal. According to legend, Lord Shiva formed this river by driving his Trishul (trident) into the ground to create three springs (hence, the name Trishuli River). Dense forests, amazing wildlife, various birds, and colorful flowers that surround this river make rafting in this river very exciting and adventurous. The best white water in this river is found in the section between Baireni and Mugling. Although ideal for most of the seasons, the Trishuli River tends to be extremely rapid and forceful during the monsoon seasons. Therefore, only few companies offer trips during this season. The reasonably cheap rafting costs and the ease of access from Kathmandu makes this river very attractive for rafting.
